From shopping for healthy foods to reminding kids to put on a bicycle helmet, parents always worry about the safety of their children. Congressman Wu’s informational event aims to help us all worry a little less by providing families with good information on how to make safer choices when purchasing or using common household items. JHC will present information on how to reduce lead and chemicals in the living room/play area of your home. New EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule Oregon.gov
The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently issued a new rule, called the “Lead: Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule.” Under the new rule, contractors performing renovation on homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.
