Mission: Josiah Hill III Clinic's mission is to provide education, testing, and resources to families and communities at-risk for environmental health hazards
History: Josiah Hill III Clinic was founded by, and is named after, the late community activist and physicians assistant, Josiah Hill, III.
Vision: We envision healthy environments, homes, and children. We believe that every child and family deserves an equal opportunity to live in a healthy environment; allowing our community to reach our full potential.
Accomplishments
- Josiah Hill III Clinic is the only non-profit providing mobile testing and assessment services in Portland, and across the nation!
- Our organization’s prevention services are reducing future medical, academic, and economic costs associated with lead poisoning and asthma. A blood lead test costs our organization only $12. One family that did not receive timely testing incurred $16,000 in medical costs in chelating their lead poisoned child.
- We have provided preventative environmental health services to approx. 3,000 community members; creating a healthier environment for our children and community.
