On March 11^th, Board Chair Dr. William Lambert, Board Member Don Francis and Executive Director Charles A. McGee, II were received in audience by Senator Jeff Merkley at his downtown Portland office. In attendance was Johnell Bell, Field Representative to the Senator. During the hour long discussion, Senator Merkley was of informed of the history and activities of the Clinic, as well as environmental justice challenges that face low income families and communities of color. He was presented samples of outreach materials produced by the staff.

Senator Merkley, who serves on the congressional Health, Education, Labor & Pensions, Banking Housing & Urban Affairs, and the Environment & Public Works Committees, expressed his support and thanked the Clinic for the great work that benefits so many children and families.
