Josiah Hill III Clinic is happy to welcome our new Program Coordinator, Amanda Lawrence to the team! Amanda started with JHC on March 15th and is excited to jump right in!
Amanda is very excited to be joining the Josiah Hill Clinic team. In addition to her new role as Program Coordinator with JHC, she is serving part-time as an AmeriCorps LINKS member with Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility and Oregon Environmental Council. She began working with community-based organizations as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and over the years has collaborated with a number of non-profits, large and small, including her role as International Humanitarian Grant Programs Coordinator with the The Rotary Foundation in Evanston, IL and as a public health intern with the Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon. Most recently she coordinated the 2009 “Global Aging and Health: Enhancing Communities in Nicaragua” service-learning program with Portland State University and the Jessie F. Richardson Foundation. She is a 2008 graduate of the Oregon Master of Public Health Program with a MPH in Health Promotion. She loves to travel, has worked on health projects in Guatemala and Nicaragua, and is continually trying to improve her Spanish skills. She is also a graduate of The School of Natural Cookery and loves to share healthy cooking tips, recipes, and food with anyone interested!
